Women who are unable to produce their own eggs, require donor eggs. These eggs are
made to fertilize with the husbands sperm and the embryo that develops after fertilization
transferred inside the uterus.
An oocyte sharing program is followed at the hospital where excess eggs during an
IVF cycle are used with the patients permission. Donor and recipient confidentiality
is maintained. Patients who wish to bring their own donors are permitted to do so.
Professional donors are not available at the hospital.
