Since the beginning of time, labor and childbirth have always been associated with pain. While pain tolerance levels or pain thresholds are subjective aspects, there are many discussions doing the rounds about experiencing the overwhelmingly beautiful childbirth process painlessly.

A hysterectomy is a safe surgical procedure with minimal risk when performed by experts. The procedure is often advised in cases like endometriosis, pelvic support problems, gynecological cancer, abnormal uterine bleeding or for chronic pelvic pain. A partial hysterectomy is when only the uterus is removed.

Pregnancy in the most usual cases is quite a positive experience and it is one that should continue smoothly without encountering much challenges. But in some unusual cases, say in about 20 to 30 percent of them a pregnancy could be termed as high-risk. A high-risk pregnancy is one where there could be complications, sometimes even life-threatening for both the mother and the baby

But these days we hear of pain-free deliveries and pregnancy experiences and we can safely assume that it is epidural that they are all talking about. Almost two-thirds of women are now opting for an epidural for labor and delivery, if they choose to deliver in a hospital setting whether it’s vaginal or c-section delivery.

When there is an imbalance in the normal levels of vaginal bacteria, it can lead to an inflammation or an infection of the Vagina called Vaginitis. This infectious vaginitis can result in discharge, itching and pain. But when there is a vaginal irritation without an infection is what is called Non-infectious Vaginitis.
